African Dawn Sanctuary and Endangered Species Breeding Centre set in the heart of a lush valley, situated between Jeffreys Bay and Port Elizabeth lies African Dawn a truly beautiful bird and wildlife sanctuary, endangered cat breeding program and rehabilitation centre. Van Staden's Wild Flower Reserve This 450 hectare reserve lies 35 km from Jeffrey's Bay on the N2 to Port Elizabeth. It is the best place near Jeffreys Bay to see lowland fynbos with flowering Proteas and associated fynbos endemics. The rocky gorge is good for raptors and there is indigenous coastal forest in the gorge. Allow a morning's birding to cover all habitats, when you can expect to see 60 of the 170 regularly occurring species. The park (est. 1975) is located on the Eastern Cape’s sunshine Coast, 50 km’s east of Jeffrey's Bay. Set in 120 hectares of superb bush and grassland, the Park offers the unique experience of close-up Game-viewing. Situated in the pictureque Seekoei River Valley.
